Ailsa Brown: Managing
Director
- Ailsa first established Neilson Brown in 1995 and has managed the
company through several changes, in particular the merger with
Gilliland & Company Financial Services, to the present day
as Gilliland Neilson Brown.
A Chartered Insurance Practitioner and a holder of the Advanced Financial
Planning Certificate, Ailsa is also a past Regional
Chair of the Association of Independent Financial Advisers and the Womens' IFA
Group, strongly supporting the principle of professional independent advice.
Although no longer advising clients on their day to day financial planning
needs she maintains a watchful eye over the business ensuring that the advice
provided by her advisers and the service given to clients remains as
professional and relevant as ever.

Ken joined Gilliland Neilson Brown early in 2007 and brought
with him a wealth of experience and knowledge. His particular
expertise in pensions and inheritance tax planning, including detailed
knowledge of the more complex areas of these fields of financial
planning has proved invaluable to many clients.

Adviser
Harry joined Gilliland Neilson Brown in the spring of 2006 and his solid
understanding of the needs of clients has helped many shape their financial
future. His understanding of the complex areas of financial planning,
combined with his enthusiasm for his subject, makes him a popular with clients
and colleagues alike.

- Sara Kidd:
Paraplanner
Sara joined Gilliland Neilson Brown in the summer of 2007 having worked as
a paraplanner previously. She provides invaluable support to the
advisers with research and technical support along with ensuring the smooth
day to day running of the office. As if that isn't enough, she is
continuing her studies for additional financial planning qualifications
ensuring that she continues to be a much valued part of the team.

Julie Horner: Administrator
Julie joined the team in early 2007 and quickly became essential to the
smooth running of the office. She brings an enthusiasm for her job that
is both refreshing and contagious. Julie brings qualifications from her
previous role within the legal profession and is now studying for financial
planning qualifications too.
